Terms of service

Using MonitorCat

These terms apply when you create an account or use MonitorCat. You must be legally able to agree to them, provide accurate account information and keep your account secure.

MonitorCat is intended for monitoring publicly accessible webpages. You must only monitor pages you are legally entitled to access and must not use the service to invade privacy, bypass access controls, overload a website, break the law or infringe another person's rights.

How the service works

MonitorCat checks webpages at scheduled intervals and can send an email when it detects a relevant change. Websites can change, block automated requests or become unavailable, so we cannot guarantee that every page will work, that every change will be detected, or that an alert will arrive by a particular time.

You remain responsible for checking important information at its original source and for the URLs and monitoring instructions you submit.

Plans and payment

The limits and price of each plan are shown on the pricing and checkout pages. Pro is a monthly subscription that renews until you cancel it. You can cancel through your account settings, and access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Our cancellation and refund policy forms part of these terms.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, threatens the service or creates legal risk. We may also change or discontinue features. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of a material change that adversely affects a paid subscription.

Liability

MonitorCat is provided with reasonable care and skill, but is not a substitute for professional advice or a guaranteed source of time-sensitive information. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, or for failures caused by websites and services outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful.

Privacy and contact

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact form.
