Know when an important webpage becomes unavailable
Schedule lightweight checks for a public page and receive an email when MonitorCat detects a transition to a down state.
Stay on top of changes without checking manually
Page availability monitoring shows whether MonitorCat can reach the page. It records up and down results in recent check history and sends an email when a previously available page becomes unavailable.
How it works in MonitorCat
Enter the important URL
Choose Page Down as the monitor type. There is no page-element selection step.
Choose a schedule
Select how often MonitorCat should attempt the page, within the limits of your plan.
See each result
Each scheduled check records whether the target was observed as up or down, or whether the check itself failed.
Respond to an email alert
When the observed state changes to down, use the alert as a prompt to investigate the page or hosting service.
Everything you need to review a change
Clear availability results
See the availability result alongside the date and status of each recent scheduled check.
Scheduled site-down email
Receive an alert after a scheduled check detects that a previously available page is down.
Shared monitoring dashboard
Keep page availability and content or price monitors in the same product account.
Scope and limitations
MonitorCat is not a full infrastructure-observability platform: it does not claim multi-region probes, performance tracing, incident management or an SLA. Some access blocks and browser timeouts can also resemble an unavailable target, so important incidents should be confirmed independently.
Common questions
Is this the same as server monitoring?
No. It is a scheduled check of a public webpage from MonitorCat's crawler, not monitoring of your server processes, network or internal infrastructure.
Does MonitorCat measure page speed?
No. Current availability monitoring records an up or down state; it is not marketed as performance monitoring.
